Nantucket offers charm, beauty, and fun. Experience scenic downtown, its charm, architecture and cobblestone streets. The island boasts the highest concentration of pre-Civil War homes in the U.S., plus many historic sites. The
Nantucket Whaling Museum, founded in 1854, is a must-visit with 9 galleries and more than 1,000 artifacts and display pieces.
For the more adventurous, there are 82 miles of pristine beaches to enjoy, from calm waters at Jetties Beach, or body surfing at Surfside and Cisco. If you like fishing, there are plenty of charters available, or go out to Great Point and cast to catch stripers and bluefish. The island also boasts one of the oldest working lighthouses in North America.
